Colin Sauer – My Story
Colin Sauer is an accomplished executive with significant expertise in all areas of business and non-profit management. A strong communicator and strategic leader, Colin has built a reputation for empathetic listening, effective mentoring, and unwavering commitment to the clients he serves. His ability to effectively partner with diverse individuals from all backgrounds has had a tremendous impact on the success of the organizations he’s been a part of.
Colin has learned numerous things in his career, but none more important than the value of people within any organization. Skilled, motivated, and highly engaged individuals are the foundation of any successful organization no matter how big or how small. He has seen firsthand the positive impact of strong leadership, clear vision and building trust with all stakeholders.
Colin has been married to his wife Darcy for over 38 years and together they have three adult sons, Myles, Cameron and Morgan. Together, Darcy and Colin own and manage Tall Cedars Beach House, a highly successful vacation rental business next door to their home. Colin continues to operate his business focussed consultancy – Colin Sauer Consulting and he also serves as a Director on the Comox Valley Community Foundation board.

During a very successful career spanning over four decades he has developed and refined a methodology, as well as a number of extremely valuable resource materials, that have become the standard adopted by highly effective boards of directors. Through this work he has built a reputation as a knowledgeable and sought after subject matter expert in this field.
